Pink Grapefruit & Summer Fun!!

RedDollySwim always has the best prints! When I first received the Grapefruit Mint One Piece I knew my daughter had to have a matching one. I have always adored the brands matching swim suits for little ones & mama's, so I just couldn't wait to do a mini shoot with my sweetie pie!

Chinese Painted Parasols are my favorite accessories to pair up with SwimWear, Tiki Dresses, & Swing Dresses. I purchased this one in China Town!

My Little One in the Mini Baby Mint & Fruit One Piece Swim Suit!
With an adorable matching head band designed by RedDollySwim!

I am wearing RedDolly's One Piece in Mint & Fruit, it has a built in bra & a cinched bust. I love this swim suit just as much as I love a fresh grapefruit! The fabric is made out of super comfortable spandex & it doesn't feel tight when getting into the water!

My hair was inspired by an up do that Dita has showcased during her Lingerie Photo Shoots & Runways. It's a perfect quick up do for basically anything, you can wear it alone or add some flowers like I did. I made my own Hair Flowers from an old floral reef I had in my bedroom, just pin them with bobby pins & you have a cute little floral up do.

My little Sweet Grapefruit is wearing the Halter One Piece style but, you can also purchase this print in a cute Mini Bikini Two Piece.

Emerald & Palm x MissVintageLady

Old Hollywood was more than just captivating glamour it was a way of life. If I had a time machine that would be the first place I would go. Visiting glamorous Art Deco buildings are always breath taking, they are filled with carefully crafted detail. As I walked down the Merlot stained carpet at the Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, wearing a Timeless Emerald & Palm Sleeveless Nicole dress in a classic shade of White, I felt the feeling of pure elegance.

I love the Timeless Beauty that each design has, I always feel like a Starlet in my Emerald & Palm pieces. Feeling confident in whatever you are wearing is so important & when I slip into an Emerald & Palm design I alway’s feel Confident & Empowered. The Nicole Sleeveless Dress is such a captivating piece that even against this beautiful marble carved fountain it steal's the show. I paired the Nicole Dress with a Honey Blonde Faux Fur Stole also available at Emerald & Palm.

I always wear Red Lipstick, a Blue based Bright Red is my signature color it compliments every Starlet's Pout. I am always mesmerized by Vintage or Modern Vintage Lipstick cases. I have a collection of Vintage Lipstick tubes that I put on display on my Vanity. The Gold casing of this Dior Tube reminds me of the Gold accents in the Biltmore Hotel, this Historic building was built in 1923. It's beloved details & Art Deco interior design has been the backdrop to Films & TV shows showcasing that Old Hollywood is still loved & admired.

Cliftons in Downtown Los Angeles
As Audrey Hepburn once quoted "Elegance is the Only Beauty that Never Fades."
If there is one thing I learned it's to Love Yourself because Once you do that You can Conquer anything. Emerald & Palm designs are perfect for any style that you identify yourself with wether your a Glamour Girl living in a Vintage World or a Modern Women inspired by the elegance of Old Hollywood Garments. The fit is designed based on Real Women's Sizes & Body Types making sure each women feel's confident & elegant when wearing an Emerald & Palm Design.

Dapper Day's Spring Outing!

Grand Californian Hotel

Twirling is so much fun especially when your wearing a Vintage Prom Dress!

I finally made it to Dapper Day, it was my first time attending the Expo so of course I had to look Glamorous, & I needed a gorgeous hair style to match my Vintage 50's Prom Dress. So of course I went to my go to Hair Dresser who specializes in the art of Vintage Hair Styling Missy also known on Instagram as TechnicolorCutie. I asked for Dita's Signature Pageboy Hair Style, it is by far one of my favorite hair styles & I feel that it suites my face shape pretty well.

Old Hollywood Glamour is my esthetic & I am an Artist who loves a good Iconic Red Lip. I always go for that Marilyn type of seductive eye make up. So I used Besame Cosmetic's "Cake Mascara" to wing out my bottom lash line giving that eyelash shadow. Their Cake Mascara is a beautiful recreation of the original 1920's Black Cake Mascara that would come in this beautiful charcoal coal   shade that they would use as eyeliner or mascara. My Foundation is their velvety matte "Cashmere Powder Foundation" in shade Porcelain, its one of my most used products from them.
I always use their "Vanilla Brightening Powder" to brighten up under my eyes, I also focus on the T Zone & of course the Chin to bring light to the parts of my face I want to bring attention to. Now to finish my look I apply my favorite classic blue toned shade of red "Besame Red" it's a beautiful 1920's inspired shade that Hollywood Starlets loved.

On Our Way to the Dapper Day Expo, with my wonderful husband! The Expo was a wonderful Dapper Experience, I finally had a chance to shop & meet with some lovely people. Of course I couldn't just attend the Expo without buying something I ended up buying two pairs of Vintage Slingback's! I also bought a Dapper Day Spring Pin to add to my Disney Pin Collection hehe!

Pin Up Girl's Booth at the Expo!

I couldn't have been more excited when I met one of my favorite Pin Up Girl Gal's the beautiful & super nice Miss DorisMayDay. She was so wonderful to chat with & her boyfriend Daniel is very kind it was great to chit chat with both of them, & I look forward to visiting the Pin Up Boutique to visit her again. The Booth was beautiful with it's stunning artwork inspired by the work of MaryBlair, they had so many lovely gals working the booth, I ended up purchasing some left over items from the Famous Pin Up Yard Sale! I scored the Deadly Dames Red Twill Cigarette Trousers, Pin Up Couture White Peasant Top, & the Restocked PUG Unicorn 1940's Classic Harlequin Novelty Print & this last run of the iconic vintage print circle skirt came with pockets.

The Creators of The Pink Collar Life Blog & Shop

Two of my favorite Vintage Loving Glamour Gals! They are truly two inspiring women & being able to mingle with them about vintage & old hollywood glamour was truly a wonderful experience. Their accessory line is full of Starlet Inspired Jewels, Faux Fur's, & HandBags exquisite designs to say the least. Tara & Ashlyn have so much knowledge about our Iconic Hollywood Starlets that each product on their website has a Vintage History lesson for you to learn about the product you may be purchasing.

I have been saving this glamorous 1950's Vintage Prom Dress for the perfect event! So I was glad to finally wear it out for all to see, I bought it from a Vintage Etsy Seller, who was selling it for a great price & it's glitter confetti splatter was to good to pass up. It has a tulle over skirt with a satin fabric underneath & a built in bodice to give you that cinched hour glass shape. I paired it with my Vintage 1940's Gold Lame Springolator's, my Bombshell Shoe Clip placed on the center on my sweet heart prom dress, Some Chiffon Pink Pearls & my Vintage Clip On Pearl Earrings. As seen below I bought the beautiful Factor's Follies Crown from my visit at ThePinkCollarLife Booth.

To Finish this Dapper Post here is a mini Video of my PageBoy Hair Style & Vintage Glamour Girl Make Up for my time at Dapper Day's Spring Outing at Disneyland.

Vintage Roses

Every Gal Loves to Twirl in a Circle Dress, I mean how can you not?! It is so much fun!! I finally decided to do a mini photo shoot featuring one of my very first PinUpGirl Birdie Dresses. I absolutely adore this Vintage Inspired Blue Rose Print, it reminds me of my Great Grandmother's dress that she used to wear during the summer heat waves. This print is based off real vintage designs, even the silhouette is very similar to the circle day dresses that women used to wear in the 50's.

The silhouette of this dress is perfect for all body types which is why it's one of my favorite Day Dresses. I am a busty gal so finding dresses that allow wiggle room that will also hug my curves in all the right places doesn't come that easy. The Birdie Dress gives me a beautiful cinched waist & enough room for my bust, plus it looks like a 50's dream!

Today I really wanted to embrace the look of a 50's HouseWife, I paired my PinUpCouture Birdie Dress with DollMeUp Nifty 50's Hair Scarf, keeping my hair in place & polished during the windy strolls around the city. Finding the perfect pair of pumps to complete your look is always fun especially when they are Vintage, now add a Petticoat & your set!

I went for a subtle natural pin up look, simple winged liner, curled lashes, velvety skin, & a darling red lip! I recently purchased some new products from Besame Cosmetics their Cashmere Powder in the Rose Gold Compact & Besame Red a true blue based Red lipstick a 50's bombshell would approve. The Cashmere powder is so soft & lush it's perfect for touching up through out the day, keeping your skin matte & shine free.
