She's a Bettie!
Today's style post is inspired by the beautiful & iconic Bettie Page.
It is rare to find photographs of Bettie Page in something other than lingerie or a swimsuit, but luckily I have a book that includes a few photographs & I own the Notorious Bettie Page film which I was able to use as a reference for todays look. I paired my Bettie Bangs with my favorite Pointy Black Heels, Hair Scarf, & a 50s dress from MissCandyFloss Official
I am head over heels in love with this beautiful Chocolate & Mauve Tweed 50s swing dress. MissCandyFloss Official never disappoints, their Femme Fatale Collection is taking over my closet & I am not complaining about it. The Emma Dora Tweed Swing is a Femme Fatale's dream dress I can defiantly see Veronica Lake, Gene Tierney, Lauren Becall, & Hedy Lamarr wearing this dress in a Film Noir. I love the Blazer bodice with the Peplum shape it really accentuates my curves & the Swing Skirt flows so gracefully with every step. The quality is amazing & the dress is very easy to slip in & out of, there is a hidden zipper in the front underneath the buttons. It is a bit on the heavier side but, the tweed fabric is soft & perfect for those cooler Fall days ahead. My Nifty 50s Mauve hair scarf from DollMeUp was a lovely choice, the color matched my dress perfectly! I am wearing faux Bettie Page Bangs from Classy Rebel in their Deluxe style, I love being able to switch up my hair styles I can easily switch up my look from Hedy Lamar to Bettie Page.
