Today's style feature is all about SHOES I am so excited to review another style from one of my favorite footwear brands RoyalVintageShoesI did a review a few months back on one of their newer Spring/Summer styles called the "RITA" a gorgeous 1940s platform slingback, with darling laces & classic 40s details - click here to read all about them!

I was so excited when I received the Brown/White Susie Saddle Shoes in the mail, my grandmother had a pair when she was younger in the iconic Black/White style & I couldn't resist getting a pair of my own. At first it was not easy deciding on which color I wanted the most & I think I argued with myself for at least a day or two before finalizing on a color. They offer the Susie Saddle in a two toned Navy/White, Brown/White, or Black/White, I finally decided on the brown & white color way. I went with that style because I have quite a few 1940s pieces that will pair up beautifully with them & I thought why not try something a little different. This type of shoe was a very popular style of footwear in the 1940s & 1950s, especially for Women & young girls. RoyalVintageShoes modeled their Classic Susie Saddle style after an Original Spalding Ladies' saddle shoe, I must say they really look & feel authentic.
When ordering I did go with my usual size & found that they were a perfect fit, the quality is absolutely amazing they use high end materials such as real leather uppers, durable rubber soles with welt stitching, & the classic two tone is spot on. There is a cushioned pad near the arch of the shoe which I found to be quite comfortable, especially since I walked around in there for 4 or more hours. I would note that the saddle shoe style is tampered towards the toes, so do keep that in mind when ordering. Overall I love this reproduction of the classic scalding ladies, they are beautiful in person, even my grandmother said they looked very authentic, I also enjoyed pairing them with my 1950s Freddies of Pinewood jeans. I definitely recommend RoyalVintageShoes especially if you are looking for high quality vintage inspired footwear, they are priced reasonably & they really are amazing.
